This is going to be a short post. I have a question for you, what must Jesus having been thinking when he rose that third day after His death? I would have been thinking, why did I do this? I’m glad I’m not Jesus because knowing what I know about people today I couldn’t have done it. That’s why Jesus is our Savior and not a mere mortal man. Our finite mind can not comprehend the love God has for us that He would send His only begotten Son to die for us. I love my children and grandchildren so much I would die for them but I could not imagine dieing for the world knowing there is people out there that doesn’t even believe in Jesus or His Father and yet He did. All I can say is thank you Jesus for loving us so much you came to earth as flesh and died for our sins knowing that there would be many that would reject you. It makes me cry when I think about it. Thank you for loving me and all my flaws, I can’t wait to see you in heaven.
It’s almost 4:00 in the morning March 21st, 2020 and I can’t sleep. I feel like the air is crackling around me there is so much going on in the world right now, the biggest being of course is this covid-19 virus. You know something big is about to happen and as a believer in Jesus Christ I believe the signs are pointing to His glorious return. I lay here so sick from influenza A and yet I have it no where near as bad as those suffering with covid-19. My heart goes out to all those that are fighting this virus and to their families as well. We feel helpless to do anything but there is something we all can do and that is pray. We need to be praying for those on the front lines taking care of those who are sick as well. We all want this to be over and yet this is nothing compared to what’s coming. There are many lost souls out there that are looking for the truth about what’s going on, well I’m here to tell you it’s all in the Bible all you have to do is be willing to read it with an open heart and an open mind. All the answers you are looking for are right there in black, white, and red. There is a lot of people out there that will tell you that the Bible is just a book, that it was written by men. Well let me tell you the Bible is God inspired, the words were given to men to put in this Book to show us how to live and what to expect for our future. No it does not stop things from happening to us or our loved ones, but it does teach us how to cope with what ever is going on in our life. Most importantly it tells us how to receive salvation, that is through Jesus Christ, He is the only way to the Father it was His blood shed for many that allows us to get to heaven He Is The Only Way. God loved us so much that He sent His only son to be the final sacrifice so we can spend eternity with Them. I can’t tell you how important it is to except Christ as your Savior now don’t wait because you may not have another time than right now. Salvation is so simple, you just have to admit your a sinner, ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins and except Him into your heart and He will forgive and your sins will be no more. Nothing in life, except salvation, is easy but by making that commitment you can have the peace that surpasses all understanding and knowing that when your life here is over there is a heaven waiting for you with a Father that has always loved you and can’t wait to see you. Please seek out Jesus now while you can. God bless you and may the Peace of God be upon you.
I titled this ” I Don’t Know ” because I just don’t know where I’m going with this post. I want everyone to know that it is ok to be concerned especially if you have a loved one that is vulnerable to this covid-19. I can not reiterate how important it is not to panic but be prepared. Christians don’t have to be scared in these trying times because we have Jesus, we need to lean on one another but most importantly we need to lean on God. We need to help each other as much as we can, God’s word says we are to help the widower, the poor, the disabled, etc. my point is, God wants us to help one another.
I started this post last night but got so tired I could not finish. This morning I woke up took my medicine, because I have been fighting influenza A, so I could finish this post. So I watched a video this morning on a friends page and as I was watching I was so overwhelmed by the love of God that all I could do was cry. Then I heard God tell me to anoint my house with oil and everyone in it and he asked me to pray over my loved ones and my home. Then He asked me to tell everyone in the church to do the same so I did. I’m not sure why God wanted me to I just knew I wasn’t going to disobey Him. I believe that every Christian on this planet should do that and that we should be praying not only for our homes, but for our families, our neighbors and neighborhoods, our communities and those who have be infected with covid-19and those that are on the front lines caring for those with this awful virus. We need to be telling everyone we meet about Jesus because like it or not He is coming back and I believe, like most every other Christian on the earth, that it is going to be very soon. I also believe that after this covid-19 is over and it’s safe, or a least safer to get out and about again, we are going to see revival in this land like never before. I believe that church pews will be overflowing and we need to be prepared to explain what else is coming. It’s time to stop being so worried about offending people or there is going to be a lot more people than necessary going to hell. It’s time to be in your face withtheword of God, He is shaking this world to get our attention and so many are missing it because they don’t know what God’s Word says. Please people tell someone today because it may be the last time they have a chance to accept Jesus as their Savior. Please be kind to one another because Jesus is coming back and we are going home.
It’s easy to panic in times of great uncertainty, like with the growing concern over the novel coronavirus, formally named COVID-19. We should all take necessary precautions, following the instructions given to us by medical experts.
We should also remember that, no matter the situation, nothing happens outside God’s control or care. Scripture calls the Lord our “rock,” our “fortress,” and our “deliverer” (Psalm 18:2). Some 72 years ago, the great C.S. Lewis reminded his readers of those truths, calming fears over an atomic bomb.
Those words are just as appropriate now, regarding COVID-19. The following is an excerpt from an essay Lewis wrote in the 1940s, which is now found in a collection of his works called “Present Concerns.”
In one way, we think a great deal too much of the atomic bomb. “How are we to live in an atomic age?” I am tempted to reply: “Why, as you would have lived in the sixteenth century when the plague visited London almost every year, or as you would have lived in a Viking age when raiders from Scandinavia might land and cut your throat any night; or indeed, as you are already living in an age of cancer, an age of syphilis, an age of paralysis, an age of air raids, an age of railway accidents, an age of motor accidents.”
In other words, do not let us begin by exaggerating the novelty of our situation. Believe me, dear sir or madam, you and all whom you love were already sentenced to death before the atomic bomb was invented: and quite a high percentage of us were going to die in unpleasant ways. We had, indeed, one very great advantage over our ancestors—anesthetics; but we have that still. It is perfectly ridiculous to go about whimpering and drawing long faces because the scientists have added one more chance of painful and premature death to a world which already bristled with such chances and in which death itself was not a chance at all, but a certainty.
This is the first point to be made: and the first action to be taken is to pull ourselves together. If we are all going to be destroyed by an atomic bomb, let that bomb when it comes find us doing sensible and human things—praying, working, teaching, reading, listening to music, bathing the children, playing tennis, chatting to our friends over a pint and a game of darts—not huddled together like frightened sheep and thinking about bombs. They may break our bodies (a microbe can do that) but they need not dominate our minds.
Lewis is not the only one with wise words in the middle of a panic.
The 16th-century theologianMartin Lutherhad this to say during the bubonic plague, offering his thoughts in a letter titled “Whether One May Flee From a Deadly Plague” on how best to practically and spiritually overcome:
You ought to think this way: “Very well, by God’s decree, the enemy has sent us poison and deadly offal. Therefore, I shall ask God mercifully to protect us. Then I shall fumigate, help purify the air, administer medicine, and take it. I shall avoid places and persons where my presence is not needed in order not to become contaminated and thus perchance infect and pollute others, and so cause their death as a result of my negligence. If God should wish to take me, he will surely find me and I have done what he has expected of me and so I am not responsible for either my own death or the death of others. If my neighbor needs me, however, I shall not avoid place or person, but will go freely.”
As I wrote earlier this week, as Christians, it is OK to be concerned, particularly if we are in an at-risk class or love someone who is, like the elderly and those who are immunocompromised.
But we don’t need to be gripped with fear, because the Lord has given us a spirit “of power, love, and self-discipline” and has encouraged us to “pray about everything,” telling him what we are scared of, worried about, and dwelling on (2 Timothy 1:7, Philippians 4:6).
Revelation 13:17 …..’And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.’ … We are told in this Bible verse that during the last days the beast system would enforce the world to take the mark of the beast.
Now carefully think about this one. It says in Revelation 13 that those who don’t take the mark will not be able to buy or sell. So what needs to happen for this prophecy to be fulfilled, to stop people from “buying and selling”? We need to get rid of cash right? And replace it with an electronic form of payment (i.e. bitcoin). It would then be easy to press a button and freeze the finances of any person who refuses to go along with the beast. Has this been Coronavirus in the past? No, because we did not have the technology to do it. But now we do have the technology and the people in control are actively pushing for this to happen today. This is a sure sign of the end times that we live in.
This is an article from the app, Signs of the End Times, I’m posting this because I was thinking about how easy this could be implemented because of something like this Coronavirus. If the antichrist wants to make this happen it would be as easy as making people afraid of physical money. It would be so easy to convince people that with a cashless society they are much safer from various diseases and viruses and though it sounds like the solution people won’t realize what that means for their eternal future. If you don’t know Jesus Christ as your Savior today I implore you to seek Him out, because if you are left behind after the rapture of the church and you survive the chaos that the rapture will bring, you will have another chance to except Jesus Christ as your Savior, but you need to know that it will be a time of turmoil, things will seem great in the beginning but half way through things are going to get very ugly. Just know that the 7 years of tribulation that will follow the rapture will be horrendous and at some point you will be required to accept the mark of the beast and once you do there is no going back you are doomed to spend eternity in hell. So please seek Jesus Christ for salvation today so you don’t have to endure the tribulation to come.
I know that all the things we are hearing about this Coronavirus is scary, but if you are a believer in Christ and you know Him as your personal Savior we really have nothing to fear. If you don’t know Jesus as your Savior then you have something to fear because if you don’t know where your going if you die today then I will be praying for you. The thought of spending an eternity in a firey lake of hell instead of spending eternity in heaven with the person, God, who made us and the person, Jesus, who died for us is not something I would not want to be absolutely positive about. When you except Jesus as your Savior you don’t have to worry about anything including death because you have made the choice to live in heaven with those that love you unconditionally and that is not something you will find in hell. As for us that already know Jesus this is the time we should be telling people about Him, because we know that there isn’t much time left. Yes only God knows the time when Jesus will come back for His people, but we can see the signs. Jesus said in Matthew 24:4-8, 4)” take heed that no one deceives you. 5) For many will come in My name, saying, ‘ I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6) And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7) For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8) All these are the beginning of sorrows. We have very little time to get the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ out there to those that are facing an eternity in hell. I know that you will run into people that don’t want anything to do with what you have to say nor believe what you say they will make fun of you, they may ridicule you and hate you. We will be hated by a lot of people Luke 21:17 says ” And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake.” but we must stand fast in our faith because there is a lot of scared people out there that knows something is happening and are looking for answers and we must be ready to tell them how Jesus can calm their fears and that they can find comfort in Him. We need to be in prayer constantly and asking God for the boldness and the confidence to do His work and bring people into the kingdom of God. We need to remember that God has given us the Holy Spirit to guide us and give us the words that will reach the people that are ready to receive the message of Salvation and there are many. So please if you don’t know the Holy Spirit then ask God to send Him and be willing to do what God has ask us to do and PRAY and seek God through His Word and He will give you everything you need to tell people of what is coming.
Sometimes we fight God because He ask us to do something that we think we may be to old, to young or to uncomfortable to do. Jeremiah told God he was to young to be a prophet, that no one would listen to him. But God told him in Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.” God doesn’t care how old you are or how young you are. He only cares that you be willing to do what He ask and most of the time I’m not because I think I’m going to do it wrong and He will be disappointed. The thing we must remember is that God loves us period! I feel we can only disappoint Him if we aren’t willing to step out in faith and do what He is asking of us. Deuteronomy 31:8 says “And the Lord, He is the one who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” We should take comfort in that verse because He is telling us, hey I’m here, you can’t make a mistake if you listen to Me. God doesn’t make mistakes we do, I’m still learning to trust Him in everything He ask me to do because I know He wouldn’t ask if He knew I couldn’t do it.So if you are struggling with something God has ask you to do go to Him in prayer and ask Him to give you peace and the confidence to do whatever it is. He loves us enough to give us the peace and confidence to accomplish the task He has set before us. I pray that this post will help you realize that no matter what task God gives us to do He also gives us the tools and the knowledge to do them. May you have a blessed day.
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord , “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence.
He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.
Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked.
Because you have made the Lord , who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place,
No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling;
For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways.
In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.
You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”
I just want to address the issue of the Coronavirus. There is so much media out there about this virus and people are panicking and doing things and acting in ways that they would not normally. I know that it is scary and I’m certainly not saying don’t be prepared because we should be prepared. But God says fear not, I have found myself looking for mask, hand sanitizer, lysol wipes, etc. and completely forgot what God says to us every day of the year, Do Not Be Afraid, and yet here I am a woman of God looking for material things instead of looking to God. Again yes we should be prepared and take precautions but as Christians we should be putting our trust in God and know that He has everything under control. Nothing is going to happen without God’s say so and if He says it’s time for me to go home I’m at peace with that because I will be in heaven with my mom, my dad, my aunt, and so many others that have gone before me singing and praising our Savior. I’m not ready to die I feel that God has more for me to do here on earth. So I am going to pray for the peace that surpasses all understanding and prepare for this Coronavirus to the best of my ability and I urge you to do the same. Be vigilant but most of all pray and trust in God and know that He is with you.
