Christ Revealed

This is another section of the introduction of the Book of Revelation in the Spirit Filled Life Bible that I want to share with you as encouragement. All scripture referenced in these paragraphs are from the Book of Revelation.

“Nearly every title employed elsewhere in the New Testament to describe the divine-human nature and the redemptive work of Jesus is mentioned at least one time in Revelation. These, together with numerous additional titles, provide us with our only multidimensional unveiling of the present position, continuing ministry, and ultimate victory of the exalted Christ“.

“Although Jesus’ earthly ministry is telescoped between His Incarnation and Ascension in 12:5, Revelation asserts that the Son of God, as the Lamb, has completely finished His redemptive work (1:5,6). by His blood, sinners have been forgiven, cleansed (5:6,9; 7:14; 12:11), liberated (1:5), and made kings and priests (1:6; 5:10). All ensuing manifestations of His applied victory are based on His finished work on the Cross; hence, Satan has been defeated (12:7-12) and bound (20:1-3). Jesus, raised from the dead, is enthroned as absolute Sovereign over all creation (1:5; 2:27). He is “King of Kings” and “Lord of Lord’s” (17:14; 19:16), and is entitled to the same ascriptions of adoration as God the Creator (5:12-14)”.

“The only One who is worthy to execute God’s eternal purpose is the Lion of Judah, who is not a political Messiah but a sacrificed Lamb (5:,6). “The Lamb” is His primary title, utilized 28 times in Revelation. As the One who has conquered, He has the rightful authority and the power to control all the forces of evil and their consequences for His purposes of judgment and Salvation (6:1–7:17). The Lamb is on the throne (4:1–5:14; 22:3)”.

” The Lamb, as “One like the Son of Man” (1:13; 14:14), is always in the midst of His people (1:9–3:22; 14:1) whose names are recorded in His Book of Life (3:5; 21:27). He knows us intimately, and with immeasurable holy love, He watches over, protects, disciplined, and challenges us. We share fully in His present and future victory (17:14;19:11-16; 21:1– 22:5), as well as in Hiss present and future marriage supper (19:7-9; 21:2). He dwells in us (1:13), and we dwell in Him (21:22)”.

” As “One like the Son of Man,” He also is the Lord of the final harvest (14:14-20). He pours out His wrath in judgements upon Satan (20:10), Satan’s allies (19:20; 2:14), and the spiritually dead (20:12, 15) – – – all those who have chosen to “dwell on the earth” (3:10).”

“The Lamb is the God who is coming (1:7,8; 11:17; 22:7,20) to consummate His eternal plan, to complete the creation of the new community of His people in” a new heaven and a new earth” (21:1), and to restore the blessings of the Paradise of God (222:2-5). The Lamb it the goal of all history (22:3).”

The Lamb lives and He is doing everything He can to get our attention, Jesus conquered death so we could live. We will all die a physical death but our soul is eternal you can choose where to spend eternity, Heaven or Hell.

If you haven’t accepted Christ as your savior yet and would like to do so, please pray these words:

“Jesus, I acknowledge I am a sinner and I am in need of salvation. Thank you for your sacrifice on the cross. Come into my heart and make me new. Thank you for your gift of eternal life. Help me to learn to walk with you now. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

If you prayed that prayer, please tell someone that can guide you in your next steps in your relationship with Jesus.

Have a day filled with the peace of God.

God Bless,

Repent America!

“The attempt of a nation to defy the course of its judgment, apart from repentance, will, instead, set in motion a chain of events to bring about the very calamity it sought to avert.”

This is an excerpt from the Harbinger by Jonathan Cahn, in this book it is talking about 9/11 being a shaking, a wake up call if you will, for America to repent and turn back to the Christian principles it was founded on. This can also be applied to this covid-19, the earth quakes, locust swarms and the many other things happening. God is allowing the earth to be shaken it is a wake up call for us to repent and turn back to Him. It’s not to late to except Jesus as your Savior, do it now before the calling away of the church (The Rapture). It is hard to ignore what is going on in the world today and I think God is getting fed up with people mocking His Son and His Word and if you don’ t know Jesus now before the rapture what comes after is going to make the things happening today look like a cake walk. I can’t say it enough except Jesus as your savior now not later because we aren’t promised tomorrow. May the peace of God be on you today and every day.

We Can Be Overcomers!

I’ve just started reading the Book of Revelation in the Spirit Filled Life Bible, I have been feeling led to read this book. In the beginning of every book of this particular Bible they have an introduction to the book and then the introduction is broken down into different sections. In one of the sections of the introduction of the Book of Revelation which is Personal Application, I read something that I want to share with you. I hope that it will give you some encouragement in these trying times we are in right now.

“It is important for us to understand that God has created the orders of community, such as marriage and the family, economic activity, government and the state (see Romans 13:1-7, 1 Timothy 2:1,2). Satan, unable to create anything, tempts human beings to distort and misuse what God has created. As believers, we must discern whether a government is functioning under divine authority or as a divine authority. When the latter is the the case, we must pray, courageously endure, and patiently accept the consequences of obeying the God whose image and seal we bear (see mark 12:16,17; Acts 4:19). We must do so in the confidence that after our sufferings, we will reign with Him.

“Behind the appearances of the world’s pomp and power, there is the reality of the absolute sovereignty of the Lord God who is the Lamb, which ensures the ultimate doom of sin and evil. God is utilizing all the forces of evil, all the consequences of sin, even the suffering of His saints, to accomplish His own purposes. When undergoing persecution, we need to know that our sufferings are not meaningless. Ultimately, we will be vindicated. The main spring of Christian hope and courage is our certainty that the Enemy has been defeated and is doomed, and that followers of the Lamb do not fight a losing cause. Christ has already overcome, and therefore we can be overcomers!

I pray that this will help easy some of the stress and anxiety that we are all feeling right now, because this tells us that God has everything under control. Isaiah 14:24 says” The Lord of hosts has sworn, saying, “Surely, as I have thought, so it shall come to pass, And as I have purposed, so it shall stand:”. So have faith that God is in control and know that this too shall pass. May you have the peace of God today and everyday.

Truth And Action, Jude (Part 1)

Truth and Action of the Book of Jude in the Spirit Filled Life Bible

Growing in Godliness

There have always been those who attempt to divert God’s people from their primary purpose. Whether angels or people, God knows how to deal with the rebellious, but believers are warned not to participate with any such persons. The wicked appeal to the lusts of the eye, lust of the flesh, and to inordinate pride. They will pretend to love God, appear to do good works, but on close examination they are as fruitless as the fig tree that Jesus cursed. The wise will be able to identify those whose object is to be god, rather than to serve God. It will take a deeply spiritual heart to know how to reach any who are deep into evil without being contaminated – hating the sin but still loving the sinner.

Action

Contend strongly for biblical faith. Accept no form of alteration.

Reject anyone who teaches that grace is “God’s premission to sin.” understand that such a teaching is godlessness.

Beware of teachers whose behavior or teaching includes such things as:

(1) licentious behavior

(2) disrespect or rejection of authority

(3) greed or love of money

(4) empty promises

(5) straying from biblical truth

(6) grumbling and complaining

(7) critical, divisive, and destructive behavior

(8) motivation by personal gain

(9) self-promotion

(10) flattery of others when it is to his or her advantage

Pray continuously in the Spirit for self-edification and the building up of your faith. Persist in loving attitudes and behavior through the Holy Spirit.

Use wisdom and discernment when dealing with those who are in error or in sin.

Cultivating Dynamic Devotion

Truth

We fully acknowledge that only by the working and grace of God is anyone able to come joyfully into His presence in blameless worship. He is the lawful Ruler of every life. Our God is King of the universe. How blessed we are to serve Him!

Action

Trust in God’s ability to bring you blameless into His presence.

It is very important to be in God’s presences always the best way to do that is by prayer and worship it is also very important to receive the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our counselor, our comforter, our helper, our guide, He reminds us, He is our teacher, He is always with us, and He intercedes and advocates for us. We need the Holy Spirit to keep us from falling for false teachers and we need Him more now than ever. There is more false teachers now than ever before and the Bible says that in the end times that even the elect will be deceived if possible (Mark 13:22) that’s why it’s so important to receive the Holy Spirit so that you won’t be deceived. In the times we are living in right now it is important that we have wisdom and discernment because these false teachers can be very convincing and we need to know the word of God to know what is false and what is truth. So I plead with you if you don’t know Jesus as your savior then ask Him into your heart and if you know Jesus but don’t have the Holy Spirit then ask God to send Him to you so that you won’t be deceived. May the peace of God be on you today and everyday.

He Has Risen

Praise God! Praise God! Our Lord Has Risen, God’s Word says that on the third day Jesus rose from the grave descended in to hell gathered up who was His then ascended into heaven to set at the right hand of the Father never to die again. What a glorious day that was over two thousand years ago and we still celebrate today that Jesus Lives. He lives so we may have salvation through Him. What it must have been for Mary Magdalena and the other Mary to come to the tomb and an earthquake happens, which is the sign of an angel of the Lord coming down from heaven, and to see the angel roll the stone away to reveal that the tomb was empty. His face was like lightning and his clothing was white as snow the guards were so scared that they fainted, they were like dead men. The angel said to the women don’t be afraid, because he knew they had come to seek Jesus, he told them that Jesus wasn’t in the tomb He Had Risen! Then he told them to go tell His disciples that Jesus had risen and that He was going to Galilee before them and there they would see Him. I can’t imagine what those women must have been thinking, they must of had a thousand questions running through their minds, but the one thing they knew for certain was that Jesus had Risen. That is something we can also be sure of, Jesus died on a cross and on the third day He rose from the grave. What a precious gift Jesus has given us the gift of salvation is more precious than gold because it gives us life! Life that death cannot touch, I pray that if you do not know Jesus as your personal Savior that you will seek to find Him because he died then rose again for you.

I pray you’ve had a blessed Resurrection Sunday and may the peace of God be upon you today and everyday.

God Bless,

Day Of Rest

Today was a day of rest, did you take rest in our heavenly Father? Most of my day was doing nothing, I would help my husband if he needed it but for the most part I did nothing. But the difference between the rest you find in God and what I did today is the rest you find in God is for your soul. When you have rest in your soul you also find peace a peace you just can’t understand especially in times of trouble. When we truly inter in to rest in God we place all fear, doubts, anxiety, and worries on Him and we will be restored and strengthened. With everything going on with the covid-19 virus and the stay in place orders, people being laid off because businesses closing and people passing from this virus we need God’s rest more than ever. I pray that if you don’t know Jesus as your savior that you will ask him into your heart so you too can find the rest in God that Christians can have just by casting our cares on Him. May the peace of God be on you today and everyday.

God Bless,

Death And Resurrection

Today we morn the death of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for it was on this day, over two thousand years ago, that He was beaten mercilessly with a whip made of several leather thongs, each loaded with jagged pieces of metal or bone and weighted at the end with lead. He was then mocked, stripped of His clothing and made to wear a scarlet robe, the soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head and a reed in His right hand. They spit on Him and took the reed and hit Him on the head and when they were done mocking Him they took the robe off and put His clothes back on Him and led Him away to be crucified. When they came to Golgotha, the Place of a Skull, they gave Him wine mixed with gall, which He refused to drink. Then they nailed Him to the cross and crucified Him, and divided His garments and then gambled for His clothing. He was blasphemed by people passing by. There was a darkness over the land for about three hours then Jesus cried out “My God, My God, why have you abandoned Me”? Understand God did not abandoned Jesus but I believe He closed His eyes because He could not look at the sin of the world that Jesus took upon Himself so that we could have salvation. Then Jesus cried out again and surrender up His spirit. When Jesus breathed His last breath the veil of the temple was torn from top to bottom, the earth quaked and the rocks were split graves of the saints were opened and they were raised. What a frightening site that must have been for those who witnessed that I can’t imagine what they must have been thinking with the things that had happened. Now that evening a man named Joseph, who also was a disciple of Jesus, asked Pilate for Jesus’ body He took the body and wrapped it in clean linen cloth and laid it in his own tomb then rolled a large stone in front of the door of the tomb.

Now this is how Jesus died a horrific death so that we may have salvation. How humiliating it must have been for Jesus to be stripped of His clothes, beaten, spit on and mocked and yet He loved us so much that He endured it so we had a way to the Father. There isn’t another person on this earth that would do that for another person let alone the whole world. I don’t mean to be so graphic, but I want you to know just what He did for you and me and every other person who has ever lived. We as humans would have been begging for death long before we were put on a cross that is why God sent His Son because no regular human could do what Jesus did. We can’t even go one day without sinning so I ask you knowing what Jesus did for you could you find it in your heart to seek Him out and ask Him to forgive you of your sins and ask Him into your heart for the salvation that He died on the cross to give you. Please give some thought to what I wrote. May you find peace in Jesus today and everyday.

God Bless,
