He Has Risen

Praise God! Praise God! Our Lord Has Risen, God’s Word says that on the third day Jesus rose from the grave descended in to hell gathered up who was His then ascended into heaven to set at the right hand of the Father never to die again. What a glorious day that was over two thousand years ago and we still celebrate today that Jesus Lives. He lives so we may have salvation through Him. What it must have been for Mary Magdalena and the other Mary to come to the tomb and an earthquake happens, which is the sign of an angel of the Lord coming down from heaven, and to see the angel roll the stone away to reveal that the tomb was empty. His face was like lightning and his clothing was white as snow the guards were so scared that they fainted, they were like dead men. The angel said to the women don’t be afraid, because he knew they had come to seek Jesus, he told them that Jesus wasn’t in the tomb He Had Risen! Then he told them to go tell His disciples that Jesus had risen and that He was going to Galilee before them and there they would see Him. I can’t imagine what those women must have been thinking, they must of had a thousand questions running through their minds, but the one thing they knew for certain was that Jesus had Risen. That is something we can also be sure of, Jesus died on a cross and on the third day He rose from the grave. What a precious gift Jesus has given us the gift of salvation is more precious than gold because it gives us life! Life that death cannot touch, I pray that if you do not know Jesus as your personal Savior that you will seek to find Him because he died then rose again for you.

If you haven’t accepted Christ as your savior yet and would like to do so, please pray these words:

“Jesus, I acknowledge I am a sinner and I am in need of salvation. Thank you for your sacrifice on the cross. Come into my heart and make me new. Thank you for your gift of eternal life. Help me to learn to walk with you now. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

If you prayed that prayer, please tell someone that can guide you in your next steps in your relationship with Jesus.

I pray you’ve had a blessed Resurrection Sunday and may the peace of God be upon you today and everyday.

God Bless,

Beverly H.
