Praying The Word

This is a Prayer found in Ephesians in the New Spirit-Filled Life Bible the NKJV.

“Help me, Lord, always to be kind to the people around me, tenderhearted toward them and forgiving of them, even as You in Christ have forgiven me.

Adapted from Ephesians 4:32″

How many times do you think to yourself, I need to start forgiving more or being nicer to people? I do a lot more than I should have to and I pray for forgiveness alot more that I should as a Christian. My pastor always says at the end of his prayer that we need to be a little more like Jesus. Reading this adapted prayer from Ephesians 4:32 reminds me of that so I think I will print it out and put it in a frame on my wall so I have a daily reminder of how God wants his people to be. God Is So Good! may God’s Peace be with you today and everyday.

If you haven’t accepted Christ as your savior yet and would like to do so, please pray these words:

“Jesus, I acknowledge I am a sinner and I am in need of salvation. Thank you for your sacrifice on the cross. Come into my heart and make me new. Thank you for your gift of eternal life. Help me to learn to walk with you now. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

If you prayed that prayer, please tell someone that can help guide you in the next steps of your relationship with Jesus.

Truth And Action, Ephesians (Part 1)

This is located in the NKJV Spirit-Filled Bible Third Edition. I want to live for God, there is no way that I can ever thank God for what He has done for me, where He has taken me from and what He has taken me out of. If God has took you from darkness and brought you into the light through His Son, Jesus Christ, live for Him!

Growing in Godliness

“Growing in Godliness means learning to live a life that honors God and follows the example of Christ. Live in such a way that your life will be a fragrant offering, pleasing to the Lord.”

Action

Make restitution. Repay anything you have stolen an start working so you can give to others.

Live in Christ’s love. Let your life be a fragrant aroma of worship to the Lord.

Live as light. Walk in goodness, righteousness, and truth.

Seek to understand God’s will for your life. Be careful to live wisely, making thee most of the time and opportunities you have.

Boldly tell those around you the Good News of salvation in Jesus Christ. Do not allow circumstances to restrain you from speaking.

God gives us a manual on how to live it is called, The Bible, God’s Word tells us what to do and what not to do. It truly is simple, tell others about His Son, Jesus Christ, and what He did to bridge the great divide between us and God. You don’t have to be a theologian to tell someone about Jesus all you have to do is tell your story of where you’ve been and where God has brought you, it really is that simple. That is planting the seed God will water it. May God’s peace be with you.

Kingdom Dynamics

This is found in Ephesians 4 in the Spirit-Filled Life Bible, NKJV. I found this very informative and wanted to share it with you.

Ep “4:3-6 Unity of the Spirit, POWER OF UNITY. Spiritual unity was so much a part of the life and teaching of early church that the apostle Paul assumed the presence of such unity. In this passage, he instructs us to do everything possible to keep or preserve the “unity of the Spirit” (v 3). The assumption appears to be that spiritual unity is the norm within the church when its members live under the control of the Holy Spirit. Therefor, it is a very serious matter to cause division among God’s people. In fact, Paul instructed the church to warn a divisive person twice and the reject him if he does not repent (Titus 3:9-11). Spiritual unity is at the very heart of the Christian faith and the life of Christ church. In this letter to the Ephesians church, Paul presents one of the most significant statements on spiritual unity shared andwhere in the Bible. He contends that in the church of Jesus Christ there is only one body, one Spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of all. (Acts 4:32, 33/Phil. 2:2) P. A. C.”

May the peace of God be with you today and everyday.

A Prayer For The Spirit of Wisdom

This is a Prayer found in Ephesians in the New Spirit-Filled Life Bible the NKJV.

“Lord, I pray that You would increasingly give to me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. Enlighten the eyes of my understanding, that I may know the hope of Your calling and experience Your glory through the rich inheritance You have given me in the saints”.

God is so good, He loves us so much and wants the best for us and when we believe that Jesus Christ, His Son, died on the cross for our sins and we ask Him into our hearts we are saved, sealed and sanctified because we are saved by grace through faith. We just have to believe it doesn’t get any more simple than that. When you truly believe in Christ for your salvation you have a yearning to tell others about Him because you want others to have what you have, a peace that surpasses all understanding and the hope of eternity with our Creator and Savior. May the peace of God be with you today and everyday.

If you haven’t accepted Christ as your savior yet and would like to do so, please pray these words and believe with your heart:

“Jesus, I acknowledge I am a sinner and I am in need of salvation. Thank you for your sacrifice on the cross. Come into my heart and make me new. Thank you for your gift of eternal life. Help me to learn to walk with you now. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

If you prayed that prayer, please tell someone that can help guide you in the next steps of your relationship with Jesus Christ.

Truth And Action, Philemon

This is located in the NKJV Spirit-Filled Bible Third Edition. God wants us to share our faith with others and we should be glad to do so. Because if He was crucified on a Cross and shed His precious blood so that I could be forgiven of my sins, then the least I can do in return is forgive others. Besides when you forgive it opens you up for God to do His work in you through the Holy Spirit. That for me was very freeing I finally felt I got my life back from the person who wronged me and am now able to truly pray for this person’s salvation.

Growing in Godliness

“Sharing Jesus with others gives us deeper insight into our inheritance in Christ. The godly person is immediately available for restored relationships. Sharing your home, food, and possessions with strangers can be a greater blessing to the ones who show hospitality than it is to the ones who receive it”.

Action

“Understand that by sharing your faith in Jesus, you gain a fuller understanding of your inheritance in Christ”.

“Practice instant forgiveness of those who have offended you. Make room for the restoration of broken relationships”.

“Practice hospitality. Provide lodging for travlinng servants of God when possible”.

When you truly forgive you are able to, as it says above, “Make room for the restoration of broken relationships” let me assure you it makes life a whole lot lighter. When you get to that point in your relationship with Jesus, it makes it easier to hear His voice. Thank you Jesus for making me a daughter of the Most High King. May the peace of God be with you today and everyday.

If you haven’t accepted Christ as your savior yet and would like to do so, please pray these words:

“Jesus, I acknowledge I am a sinner and I am in need of salvation. Thank you for your sacrifice on the cross. Come into my heart and make me new. Thank you for your forgiveness and your gift of eternal life. Help me to learn to walk with you now. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

If you prayed that prayer, please tell someone that can guide you in your next steps in your relationship with Jesus.

Truth And Action, Titus (Part 4)

This is located in the NKJV Spirit-Filled Bible Third Edition.

The Walk of Faith

Some think walking by faith only has to do wtih bold acts of power in the Holy Spirit. While these are part of our faith journey, walking by faith also call us to everyday interaction with and leading of God’s people. Paul left Titus in charge of resolving the problems in the church in Crete. He charged him to confront those living in ungodliness, teaching deceptive doctrines, and casuing division in the church. Carrying out this demanding responsibility no doubt required great faith. Leaders must walk in faith as they interact with and lead God’s people. In faith, rely on God when it is necessary to confront any form of ungodliness, remembering Jesus’ love as your motive and example.

Action

Understand that we all face problems that need to be resolved and set in order. In faith, go to God, pray, and ask Him to use you and give you wisdom and insight that will help to solve the problems you or those around you face.

Remember that the goal of all rebuke is to restore the person in deception back to sound, healthy faith. Give correction in a manner that will bring restoration.

Encourage faith, exhort people to live in Godliness, expose deceptive doctrine and divisive behavior, convict through the power of the Spirit, and reprove in order to restore to full, strong faith.

warn those who bring division in the church to stop. The Bible’s language is strong: after one or two warnings by leadership, fellowship is to be broken with one who continues to be divisive. Understand that division inn the church is seen as perverse behavior. Seek unity in the body of Christ.

If you prayed that prayer, please tell someone that can guide you in your next steps in your relationship with Jesus.

Truth And Action, Titus (Part 3)

This is located in the NKJV Spirit-Filled Bible Third Edition. Think about what Jesus did on the cross for us He not only covered a multitude of sins but He made us holy through Him. We are to strive to be more like Jesus everyday of our born again lives and that gives me incentive to do good things for the One who layed down His life for us. He died a horrendous death so the least I can do is tell others so they have the same opportunity of eternal life as I do.

Pursuing Holiness

We have been made holy to live holy lives. God’s grace teaches us to do good works not to earn salvation, but because we are free from sinful behavior and free to do good things for God. This is the privilege and inheritance of God’s people, not harsh law to be followed and fulfilled. Holy living is the response of God’s chosen and special people to the redeeming love and immeasurable grace of Jesus Christ.

Action

Understand that Jesus rescued us from evil and from repeatedly falling into sin. He has made us holy. He has made us His own, special people. He has also made us to burn with zeal and enthusiasm to do good works by His grace. Be zealous, therefore, and do good things for God.

Have you ever been a situation that you needed to be rescued from? If you have I’m sure you remember how scary it was. I remember when I found out that I had to have open heart surgery, I was 33 years old and I was absolutely terrified it was a major surgery I was put on a bypass machine so they could work on my heart. I had aortic stenosis so I was put on a machine that kept me alive while the doctor replaced my aortic valve. That was a wake up call for me it gave me a new look on life. I pray that you don’t have to have a wake up call you get your attention, God is calling, will you answer? May the peace of God be with today and everyday.

If you prayed that prayer, please tell someone that can guide you in your next steps in your relationship with Jesus.

Truth And Action, Titus (Part 2)

This is located in the NKJV Spirit-Filled Bible Third Edition. God wants to have a relationship with us through His Son, Jesus Christ, He wants us to spend time with Him. We can do that by being in His word and being in prayer, talk to God, He listens patiently and if we are quiet and listen with our hearts He will answer.

Cultivating Dynamic Devotion

Complete surrender of our lives to Jesus frees us to love Him and devote ourselves to God wholly. When we love God unreservedly, our devotional lives are set ablaze with the fire of God. The Holy Spirit is free to mold and shape us and use us beyond what we thought possible. Devote yourself to God afresh each day. Give Him all of you;do not with hold anything from Him. Give yourself to your Creator as a mouthpiece to spread the good news of Salvation.

Action

Be willing to submit yourself to Jesus as Lord of your entire life. Devote your whole life to Him, and follow Him fully.

Worship God, who promised us eternal life even before time began. Place your hope confidently in His promise, for He nnot lie. He is trustworthy.

Worship jesus; give Him all of your Devotion and Love. Know that Jesus expresses God’s kindness and love toward us.

I love that God gives us free will to choose His son for salvation or not and choose hell. For me when I finally surrendered my life to Jesus it truly was freeing for me I realized it was easier to work with God than to work against Him. He blesses me everyday life a wonderful husband 4 beautiful grandchildren 5 awesome children, one that went home to be with Jesus in 2017, a home and so much more. God never promised me that I would have an easy life and it hasn’t been, but I have the joy knowing that I will spend eternity with with my Creator and Savior. My God’s peace be with you today and everyday.

If you prayed that prayer, please tell someone that can guide you in your next steps in your relationship with Jesus.

Truth And Action, Titus (Part 1)

This is located in the NKJV Spirit-Filled Bible Third Edition. I have heard Pastors, teachers, and watchman say “good works cannot save you” I love hearing that because if we had to work to be saved we would all be in trouble. It doesn’t matter how “good” you are or what “good” things you do, the only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ.

Growing in Godliness

Titus calls us to be champions of grace, diligently teaching that good works cannot save us. Yet, we are equally to be champions of godly living, giving clear guidelines for righteous conduct and behavior. Grace is never to be an excuse for ungodly living, but we are to live in godliness because Jesus has forgiven us and set us free by His grace. God’s grace and the power of His Spirit enable us to lead peaceful, godly lives in humility and truth.

Action

Understand that legalism actually disqualifies you for good works. Do good works in response to the grace of Jesus Christ. When we do things out of legalism to try to earn salvation or favor with God, essentially we are saying that Christ’s work on the cross was not sufficient.

Submit to authority, be ready to do good works for the Lord, and do not speak evil of others. Seek to live in peace – to be gentle to others with humility.

Do good works because Jesus has mercifully forgiven you, washed away your sin, and made you new by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Avoid arguments and fights about questions that pertain to legalism and outward forms of religion.

The “good works” you do is something you want to do after you except Jesus Christ as you Savior. You should want to do it because of what Jesus did for you, He sacrificed Himself so we had a way to God the Father. There is no one who would lay down their life for the entire world, but Jesus did. Spread the good news of salvation because you want to tell people what Jesus did for you, not because you have to. May the peace of God be with you today and everyday.

God Bless,

Beverly H.
