Truth And Action, Titus (Part 3)

This is located in the NKJV Spirit-Filled Bible Third Edition. Think about what Jesus did on the cross for us He not only covered a multitude of sins but He made us holy through Him. We are to strive to be more like Jesus everyday of our born again lives and that gives me incentive to do good things for the One who layed down His life for us. He died a horrendous death so the least I can do is tell others so they have the same opportunity of eternal life as I do.

Pursuing Holiness

We have been made holy to live holy lives. God’s grace teaches us to do good works not to earn salvation, but because we are free from sinful behavior and free to do good things for God. This is the privilege and inheritance of God’s people, not harsh law to be followed and fulfilled. Holy living is the response of God’s chosen and special people to the redeeming love and immeasurable grace of Jesus Christ.

Action

Understand that Jesus rescued us from evil and from repeatedly falling into sin. He has made us holy. He has made us His own, special people. He has also made us to burn with zeal and enthusiasm to do good works by His grace. Be zealous, therefore, and do good things for God.

Have you ever been a situation that you needed to be rescued from? If you have I’m sure you remember how scary it was. I remember when I found out that I had to have open heart surgery, I was 33 years old and I was absolutely terrified it was a major surgery I was put on a bypass machine so they could work on my heart. I had aortic stenosis so I was put on a machine that kept me alive while the doctor replaced my aortic valve. That was a wake up call for me it gave me a new look on life. I pray that you don’t have to have a wake up call you get your attention, God is calling, will you answer? May the peace of God be with today and everyday.

If you haven’t accepted Christ as your savior yet and would like to do so, please pray these words:

“Jesus, I acknowledge I am a sinner and I am in need of salvation. Thank you for your sacrifice on the cross. Come into my heart and make me new. Thank you for your gift of eternal life. Help me to learn to walk with you now. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

If you prayed that prayer, please tell someone that can guide you in your next steps in your relationship with Jesus.

God Bless,

Beverly H.
