Draw Close to God

“God uses times of waiting to draw us closer to him, to ourselves, and to our loved ones. So many people have told me that in times of uncertainty they have drawn closer to not only God but also their spouses and others near them. In the battle for our attention, God often has to let us go through a period of adversity so that we might attune our ears to his voice and discern his direction.”

This is an excerpt from a devotional that I am doing in the Bible App Called,” Know Your Why: Finding and fulfilling your calling”. This part really spoke to me because of what the whole world is going through with this covid-19, it is so sad that something like this has to happen for God to get our attention. I’m NOT saying that God did this in anyway shape of form, I am saying that God allows things to happen and will use the bad for the good of His people. God just wants us to draw closer to Him and trust in Him and yet we have let our every day lives get in the way of having a relationship with God, we put Him on the back burner of our lives and call out to Him when things go bad. We need to walk with God in the good times as well as the bad we need to trust Him and know that He has everything under control. God loves us so much that He wanted a relationship with us and He made a way for us to have that through His Son Jesus Christ, who died on a cross just for us. I am going to reevaluate my life and do what needs to be done to make God first in my life so that everything else falls into place. I pray God’s peace is with you today and everyday.

If you haven’t accepted Christ as your savior yet and would like to do so, please pray these words:

“Jesus, I acknowledge I am a sinner and I am in need of salvation. Thank you for your sacrifice on the cross. Come into my heart and make me new. Thank you for your gift of eternal life. Help me to learn to walk with you now. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

If you prayed that prayer, please tell someone that can guide you in your next steps in your relationship with Jesus.

God Bless,

Be Wise

But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Follow Me

Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it.

We Are One!

There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.

Walk Worthy, Seek God’s Word!

As you strive to walk in a worthy manner, you also need to be careful regarding who you choose to seek counsel from, those you surround yourself with, and those you seek to be like. This doesn’t mean you need to isolate yourself. However, the input and influence others have can help or hinder your walk, so you need to be careful. You cannot allow the influences of this world, including people, to help you veer off the path God wants you on. Instead, you have to decide each day to walk according to God’s standards and no one else’s. Always remember that the world walks a different path than you do and you need to surround yourself with those who build you up and do not tear you down. You need people in your life to help you successfully walk in a worthy manner.

This is part of a Bible study I’m doing in the Bible App that’s call” 9 Keys To Walking In Christ”. This really spoke to me because I’ve been feeling a lot of convection when it comes to my Walk with God. I have to ask myself am I walking in a worthy manner? My walk is not where I want it to be and I know that God is trying to get my attention. I have beat myself up over not being a writer. I don’t have a degree in writing or anything else for that matter yet I know with out a shadow of a doubt that this is what He has called me to do at 53 years old. I didn’t like English class in school and never tried to learn what I feel I need to be able to blog. But God has different plans for me and it is very overwhelming sometimes thinking about why God would chose me to reach people in this manner, yet I want to be faithful and do what God has appointed me to do. So I will keep writing until God ask me to do something else. I pray if God is calling you to do something out of your comfort zone just do it, don’t be like me and question everything because God does everything for our good. May the peace of God be with you today and every day.

God Is In Control

This is an excerpt from a plan I am reading from the Bible app. It was to good not to share. I hope you have a wonderful day and may the peace of God rest on you.

In what circumstance are you experiencing pain, bitterness, and anguish? God does not promise us pain-free lives, but He does promise that every hurt and every loss is for His purpose. We must be willing to surrender our plans, our desires, and our expectations to the will of God, even when we may not understand the reason why.

God Bless,
