“As you strive to walk in a worthy manner, you also need to be careful regarding who you choose to seek counsel from, those you surround yourself with, and those you seek to be like. This doesn’t mean you need to isolate yourself. However, the input and influence others have can help or hinder your walk, so you need to be careful. You cannot allow the influences of this world, including people, to help you veer off the path God wants you on. Instead, you have to decide each day to walk according to God’s standards and no one else’s. Always remember that the world walks a different path than you do and you need to surround yourself with those who build you up and do not tear you down. You need people in your life to help you successfully walk in a worthy manner.“
This is part of a Bible study I’m doing in the Bible App that’s call” 9 Keys To Walking In Christ”. This really spoke to me because I’ve been feeling a lot of convection when it comes to my Walk with God. I have to ask myself am I walking in a worthy manner? My walk is not where I want it to be and I know that God is trying to get my attention. I have beat myself up over not being a writer. I don’t have a degree in writing or anything else for that matter yet I know with out a shadow of a doubt that this is what He has called me to do at 53 years old. I didn’t like English class in school and never tried to learn what I feel I need to be able to blog. But God has different plans for me and it is very overwhelming sometimes thinking about why God would chose me to reach people in this manner, yet I want to be faithful and do what God has appointed me to do. So I will keep writing until God ask me to do something else. I pray if God is calling you to do something out of your comfort zone just do it, don’t be like me and question everything because God does everything for our good. May the peace of God be with you today and every day.
If you haven’t accepted Christ as your savior yet and would like to do so, please pray these words:
“Jesus, I acknowledge I am a sinner and I am in need of salvation. Thank you for your sacrifice on the cross. Come into my heart and make me new. Thank you for your gift of eternal life. Help me to learn to walk with you now. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
If you prayed that prayer, please tell someone that can guide you in your next steps in your relationship with Jesus.
