I John 4:4

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

If you haven’t accepted Christ as your savior yet and would like to do so, please pray these words:

“Jesus, I acknowledge I am a sinner and I am in need of salvation. Thank you for your sacrifice on the cross. Come into my heart and make me new. Thank you for your gift of eternal life. Help me to learn to walk with you now. In Jesus’ name, amen.”

If you prayed that prayer, please tell someone that can help guide you in the next steps of your relationship with Jesus.

Book of Joel

Truth and Action of the Book of Joel in the Spirit Filled Life Bible

TruthGrowing in Godliness : We teach our children Godliness when we instruct them about God’s nature, character, and the ways He blesses and disciplines His people. They “catch” Godliness when we model if for them in our own lives. Joel instructs the elders  to tell their children about God’s judgment on Israel that came in by the form of a locust invasion. By instructing our children about the discipline of the Lord perhaps we can help them avoid the mastakes we have made.

Action – Tell your children and encourage them to tell their children about God’s ways, nature, and character. Help them learn from their mistakes and God’s dealings with you, as well as with His people.  Gratefully receive the Holy Spirit, as He is poured out on children, adult, and the elderly. Praise God that the Holy Spirit is no respected of age, gender, or social or economic status. Understand that this prophetic word continues to be fulfilled in the church today. Receive the fullness of the spirit and the gifts He imparts to you. (Acts 2:1-21)

Isaiah 13:4-13

The noise of a multitude in the mountains, Like that of many people! A tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together! The Lord of hosts musters The army for battle. They come from a far country, From the end of heaven— The Lord and His weapons of indignation, To destroy the whole land. Wail, for the day of the Lord is at hand! It will come as destruction from the Almighty. Therefore all hands will be limp, Every man’s heart will melt, And they will be afraid. Pangs and sorrows will take hold of them; They will be in pain as a woman in childbirth; They will be amazed at one another; Their faces will be like flames. Behold, the day of the Lord comes, Cruel, with both wrath and fierce anger, To lay the land desolate; And He will destroy its sinners from it. For the stars of heaven and their constellations Will not give their light; The sun will be darkened in its going forth, And the moon will not cause its light to shine. “I will punish the world for its evil, And the wicked for their iniquity; I will halt the arrogance of the proud, And will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. I will make a mortal more rare than fine gold, A man more than the golden wedge of Ophir. Therefore I will shake the heavens, And the earth will move out of her place, In the wrath of the Lord of hosts And in the day of His fierce anger.

If you haven’t accepted Christ as your savior yet and would like to do so, please pray these words:

II Timothy 3:1

This know also, that in the last days, perilous times shall come”

The word perilous in this verse is talking about not just how the environment will be unstable, but also about how humans will be during this time. It’s used in the New Testament other places, it means “insanity”, and more than that, an aggressive form of social violence and destructive rage!
