Thanks for the reminder

This is exactly what I needed to hear this morning. Thank you Lord for reminding me that I’m not perfect, that I’m going to make mistakes and though I may get reprimanded for the way I may act or the things I say or do, I am also frogiven.To God be all the glory.

Questions

Good morning everyone, I have been struggling the past few days about weather I should be writing a blog, but God had an answer for me this morning when I opened my Bible. As you know I like to open my Bible to a random page and pray and see what God revels to me. This morning was no different, you see I have been battling some family issues and my mind has not been on this blog. Now we know that the enemy likes to do what ever he can to stop us from getting God’s word out but we also know that “He that is in me is greater than he who is in the world”. I have to thank my awesome spiritual parents Pastor Mack Walker and his wife, my best friend, Toni Walker for reminding that I am doing what God has called me to do. But most of all I want to thank God for showing me that I am being obedient to Him. So if you are wondering if God will answer your questions I am here to tell you yes. You see the Bible I read is called the New Spirit Filled Life Bible and I love this Bible it has a lot of helpful information about what you read. Part of that information is called Truth and Action. This particular truth and action was about the book of Zechariah. I know that God took me right to the truth and action part because part 4 is titled The Walk of Faith. How awesome is God? For me that was God’s way of saying, you are right where I want you to be. So I give God all the glory and honor and I think Him for answering me when I didn’t even know I was asking a question. I am posting pictures of the Truth and Action so you can see what I am talking about. I hope it blesses you as it has me. So don’t be afraid to ask God questions because He will answer. Praying blessing over you today.

Psalm 46

Good morning everyone when I got up, I decided to open my Bible to a random page and read whatever was there. It opened to Psalm 46 and considering everything going on right now in my family not to mention the world, I feel this was God telling me don’t worry I am with you. So, I want to share Psalm 46 with you. May you have a blessed day.

Psalm 46

1.God is our refuge and strength,

A very present help in trouble.

2. Therefore we will not fear,

Even though the earth be removed,

And though the mountains be carried into the [b]midst of the sea;

3. Though its waters roar and be troubled,

Though the mountains shake with its swelling. Selah

4. There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God,

The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.

5. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be [d]moved;

God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.

6. The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved;

He uttered His voice, the earth melted.

7. The Lord of hosts is with us;

The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah

8. Come, behold the works of the Lord,

Who has made desolations in the earth.

9. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;

He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two;

He burns the chariot in the fire.

10. Be still, and know that I am God;

I will be exalted among the nations,

I will be exalted in the earth!

11. The Lord of hosts is with us;

The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah

Anger

Have you ever been angry? I’m pretty sure we all have at some point, maybe you got angry that your child spilled something on the floor, or someone cut you off while you were driving down the highway or maybe you lost a job. But have you ever been so angry that it consumes you? An anger so strong it is like a consuming fire, a fire so hot that it burns everything around you. Well I have been that angry and I was so mad I forgot that I was a child of God and that His light was supposed to shine through me, and I am supposed to be like Him. That certainly was not the case recently and not something I am proud of. It was only for 24 hours that I was blinded by that kind of anger, and believe me that was long enough, before I started to calm down and remember who I was in Christ I realized God was reprimanding me for the way I was acting and how easy I let myself  get angry over things I couldn’t do anything about. We forget in that moment that God is in control of everything in our life and that we must trust that He does all things for our good.

I looked up “anger” in the Bible app I use and was surprised at how many verses there is about anger. I realized in that moment reading all those verses that wrath is God’s alone. He is the one that takes care of the things that hurt His children. I hope the next time something or someone makes you mad you pause and remember that God is in control. Pray for peace before anger consumes you. I know I will be on my knees praying for forgiveness and I will remind myself “vengeance is Mine so saith the Lord”. Here are a few of those verses that came up when I searched anger in the Bible. May you be blessed and slow to anger.

Ephesians 4:26 “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath”

Proverbs 15:1 “A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger”.

Proverbs 19:11 “The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger, and his glory is to overlook a transgression”.

Proverbs 20:2 “The wrath of a king is like the roaring of a lion; Whoever provokes him to anger sins against his own life”.

Romans 12:19 “Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord”.

Colossians 3:8 “But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth”.

James 1:19-20 “So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

Matthew 5:22 “For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven”.
